Retailers state they have plenty of inventory for the annual Black Friday chaos. Well perhaps that will minimize the number of fights over something no one will remember a year from now.
I have posted Emerson's essay of Gifts on this blog for many years. Written in 1841, Gifts illustrates the folly of entering a store to buy something for someone.
As he says, flowers or fruit or always welcome. One should give or yourself. And back then the phrase 'store bought' really meant you bought at the store because you could not make it yourself. Take a read and avoid the madness of Black Friday.
