Dennis Elam, Ph.D., CPA was recognized by his peers at the 2021 Annual Meeting of San Antonio CPA Society, receiving the award for Distinguished Service for Continuing Professional Education. Professor Elam has delivered CE presentations to multiple accounting groups in San Antonio. He closely followed the legal trial of the Four Winds Logistic Ponzi Scheme. As this was a local case with a great deal of publicity, it attracted larger groups to see the presentation. Professor Elam expressed gratitude for his Department's support for his membership in four different San Antonio Accounting Groups. This has resulted in positive exposure for the Accounting & Finance Department, as well as internships, and job opportunities for students. Professor has been a part of the TAMUSA Accounting Finance Department since 2003.
This comes as no surprise! Congrats Dr. Elam being recognized by peers :)
By the way, my brother-in-law mentioned that Juan Marquez passed a four parts of the CPA exam. Kudos to the accounting program at TAMUSA
