I have been amazed at how many people want to buy a Tesla given that there are no dealers.Which means there are no parts and no trained mechanics. GM Ford Toyota et al maintain
very high standards for approved mechanics who must attend classes on the latest service bulletins.
Sure enough, a front page WSJ story today tells the Tesla owners experience repair woes.
In the WSJ article Musk admits Tesla has been silly about its parts situation. I can recall in the 1970s imports like Aston Martin set up parts depots across the country.
Tesla has not even done that. I don't see how one can compete with full service dealers and trained mechanics with nothing but afactory. Here is a supply chain nightmare.
