Harland Clarke is a privately owned San Antonio based company. It started as check printer for banks. Now that business is facing they are into data mining and all sorts of things. And it is a multi-billion dollar company.
We are one of four SA Universities chose to participate in their externship day. I attended with some students last year. The students are placed on teams with students from other schools. Each team is given a case to work on and present that afternoon. Yes breakfast and lunch were provided. There are only 25 total slots so if you are interested sign up ASAP, oh Friday April 13, 2018. Their building is across the way from La Cantera Shopping Center north of UTSA. The day also features comments from their employees as well as students hired from the last externship.

Current students at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level enrolled in one of the following universities: University of Texas, San Antonio, St. Mary's, University of Incarnate Word, and Texas A&M, San Antonio.
Must be enrolled as an Undergraduate or Graduate program in the areas of accounting, finance, mathematical finance and/or related fields.
What you will do as an Extern in Finance and Accounting:
Apply conceptual knowledge and principles of accounting and finance that are learned through course curriculum
Analyze real business issues
Build your leadership, communication and presentation skills
Network directly with leadership
Gain industry knowledge
We’re looking for students who:
Are majoring in Accounting, Finance or related programs
