Ladies and Gentlemen, My name is Vaughn Caudill, Deputy Comptroller (CFO),
502 Comptroller Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio. We are looking to hire
5-7 recent accounting/business graduates with a bachelor degree. These are
Air Force Civil Service positions. They are entry level governmental
accounting technician positions GS-0503-07. We have a constant turnover of
our GS-07 positions. Recently DoD received Direct Hire Authority for
Financial Management Experts. What this means is the positions don't have
to be advertised. When we find individuals that want to come work for the
government and meet the requirements for the position we submit the
paperwork to hire the individual. We are looking for resumes to review and
call for interviews. I'm coming to you as accounting professors for the
local universities asking your help letting your recent accounting graduates
know of this opportunity.
Benefits:
Pay for a GS-07 is $40,684. What is the promotion potential? After 12
months as a GS-07 an individual is eligible for a GS-09 ($49,765), 12 months
as a GS-09 eligible for GS-11 ($60,210), 12 months as a GS-11 eligible for a
GS-12 ($72,168). Does everyone accomplish this - no. Can it happen - yes.
Also, six digit salaries are possible.
Time Off: 10 holidays a year plus 13 days of annual leave (4 hours a pay
period) and the individual earns 4 hours a pay period of sick leave (13 days
a year). Pay period is 2 weeks so 26 pay periods in a year.
Insurance: Health, life, dental, eye, long-term care (employee share).
Please help us get the word out to your students about this great
opportunity working for the Air Force. Resumes can be submitted to Carol
Wood, CPA ([email protected]) or myself
