Jim Rogers says that most mergers do not work. I agree. Now Wendys and Arbys are merging. Wendy's has been wandering since Dave their founder died. He brought it back from wandering in burger wars. I prefer an Arby's RB to a burger but clearly America does not. Breakfast, will this make MCD sweat?
I doubt it, I tried their new breakfast
it needs work

Arby's food is really good but I dont really go there often. The merger should be good move because Wendy's is alot more popular and it will give Arby's the exposure it needs. I doubt it will put Micky D's in a panic though.

but in fact Wendy's burgers are not selling well now, for whatever reason. Are you going to be able to buy an Arby's RB at Wendy's? Does Arby's finally give up on those sub and white bread sandwiches or their latest fatasy, the flat bread taco thing Arby's RB? Does an Arby's sell a Wendy's burger? So where is the synergism? I will have to stop at a Wendy's and try their breakfast idea

Wendy's sounds like they have a leadership problem, since Dave died. Its almost like Ben Strong in 1929, the wrong guy dies at the wrong time. But I doubt that Wendy's will cause a depression.
