Weekend Feb 27 2022
Be sure to read the column in the weekend journal on page B 13, Why stocks rebounded after Russia Invaded
The author believes sentiment or mood does not turn on its own the opposite of the socionomic position
He cites three reasons,
one the sanctions are not tough on Russia so the West cancontinue to buy Russian oil, what kind of thinking is that?
the Fed will not raise rates as fast as thought, uh what about inflation
and apparently those short stocks bought back to cover
I might agree with number three but stocks have been declining since last February as our content of NASD stocks over moving averages have shown The bounce Thursday Friday was more likely a second wave up from an over sold first wave.
He seems to think Ukraine won't be bad for Wall Street
gee how will it be for the Ukraine peopple?
Our point is that the media endlessly tries to tie a fundamental event to stock market action. We believe this is a rapidly developing bear market.
I should have my mac computer back tomorrow but for now
stocks should continue downm
bonds likely to rally
oil and energy likely to stay high on the land war
