Monday August 14, Pre Market Open
The volatility of the markets is putting a damper on any big sell off.
The Russell 2000 and the Transports have fallen more than the INDU or the NASD 100. But all have put in some sort of at least temporary peak. Stock markets are up this morning around the world.
Bond prices have been up, no clear pattern emerging there.
US Crude, WTIC, has failed to vault over $50 leaving the door open for a test of lower prices. We still expect an important low in price this fall.
Gold and silver seemed sidelined with only gold itself showing more strength than share prices or silver. That is not very bullish considering the still weak US Dollar.
Welcome to August!
