On Friday, Bloomberg reported that in the first quarter, more than 5,000 mergers or acquisitions were struck across all industries globally for a total of $660 billion, a post-financial-crisis high. The Financial Times noted recently that global M&A is at about $1.2 trillion year to date, the highest pace since 2007 and up 42% year over year.
Bull markets are inclusionary. Deals always take place at high prices, never at bargain panic lows.
