We use socionomics to observe social mood and how it affects markets. When non financial publications begin running financial articles particularly articles spoofing the current markets, you can usually assume a market extreme is ocurring.
A case in point is Start Your Own Hedge Fund in the current Vanity Fair.
Gee this reminds me of Bonfire of the Vanities spoofing the bond market traders in the 1980s.
It is a fun article and of course such exaggeration suggesting that so many are doing this anyone ought to be able to do it, a sure sign that everyone is now long the market.
