I remarked in my Tuesday morn update that I was getting that Fall 1987 feeling again and then I recalled
The Harmonic Convergence of August 1987. This was a world wide metaphysical event back then. It was as good as things would get. And so I wondered could we be in a similar period now? We are 25 years forward from 1987 and sure enough
Readers are aware that we do not follow grand super cycles but look to market internals and socionomics. But many of the things discussed on the site above have also been noted in our comments on social mood which is becoming darker and darker. We noted the parallel to Carter Obama both elected 12 years into the stagnation cycle and near simultaneous Embassy attacks in 1978 and 2012. Hmm, things are lining up.
At any rate TMP readers may find this interesting. Just for fun I went back and looked at 1987.

Again, we laid out our concerns this weekend and this morning. but gee, this is an amazing coincidence eh? We promised to ramp up our analysis given this interesting time period, one more potential puzzle piece. Whatever one thinks of long term Mayan cycles, there is no question what happeend in 1987.
Educate my ingorance, is it time to get into the bond market?
